>>>Being who you are, is not easy, because there are people who can`t understand that everyone is different from the time of conception. What has gained a lot of attention lately is people being ashamed because of who they are. And it makes me think about what exactly defines a person. Identity is something people deal with everyday. I am Ma. Lourdes G. Melendres, and you can call me Danica, and if you`re asking why, it`s another story. Being me is quite difficult, for me it is hard to accept some reality. What exactly defines a person? Or rather, what defines someone the most. One’s friends? Interests or hobbies? The clothes someone wears? The music they listen to? Their physical appearance? Where they live or were raised? Their education? Their ambitions? Their values? Their personalities’? Their talent? Other people’s perception of them? It`s hard right? Because every single person you meet will define you differently. I am the kind of person who is very concerned how people will judge me, although sometimes, I don`t care about how they will see me as who I am because this is me. Sometimes, before I leave home, I make sure that I look very well, from head to toe, because I know that when I got outside, they will look at me, as if there is something wrong with my physical appearance or its just they find me beautiful, so in order for me to be confident, I will examine my physical appearance before I leave. And if it is about my attitude, most of the time, but sometimes not, I make sure that every action I make will not hurt others, I am concerned if what I am doing will make others happy or not. I am Active and dynamic. Decisive and haste but tends to regret. I am Attractive in my own way, sometimes. I love attention, but doesn`t mean that I am an attention-seeker. I just love to be with others because I am only child and sometimes being alone is sad, although I am close to my mom I can`t say everything to her. Consoling, friendly and solves people's problems if I can. I am Brave and fearless. Loving and caring. Generous if I have something to be shared. I have many friends. I am very emotional. I am a Crybaby, if I am hurt and if I am angry. I used to be an early bird but as time goes by, I`m tired of it, because I don`t like it if someone makes we wait, but if it is for school or other important things I will be there at the right time. I am Stubborn too and hasty. Good memory especially if someone did good and bad to me or to my family. I love my family, I don`t allow anyone to ruin our family. We`re just three, my mom, my dad, and me, so why should I? I am moving, motivates one and others. Loves to travel and explore that`s why I took up Tourism. I am who I am, my mannerisms, my family background, my past, how I dress-up. I’m sure it’s different or similar to everyone else. What it all comes down to is what you want to leave behind, how you want to be remembered. What do you want people to see you. But I would like to think that how a person sees oneself is more important. You have to be happy with yourself first in order for people to see you in a positive light.
